The Yabot widgets are now included in the Google Gadget directory. Now it is even easier to add the Yabot national news, your custom myYa news or a hiYas search result to your iGoogle startpage.

The scene for widgets are ever expanding. We have quickly created some widgets using the SpringWidgets platform: http://www.springwidgets.com/widgets/search?terms=yabot This system allow you to integrate the Widget on almost evert possible solution and platform, Blogger, Facebook and Dashboard to name just a few. It's based on a Flash component and we will definitely investigate it further.

As you may have noticed the Yabot Widget has been worked upon during the past days. We are trying to give you users more flexibility in displaying the news content. Some minutes ago we released version 0.5 that will allow you to dynamically set the length of the news text from 0 (none) to 500 characters. The headline is of course always displayed and if you hover the mouse pointer over a news item the time/date of publication and its media source will be displayed. Please keep using and supporting the Yabot Widget. And please give us feedback on what else you'd like to do with it.
