Yabot is today pre-releaseing its new open API that allow developers to access millions of news stories - totally free.
- The new open Yabot API (application programming interface) will give developers an easy route to interaction and integration of news stories, explains Mats Ingelborn, cofounder and Managing Director of Yabot Ltd.
The Yabot news network currently holds some 15 millions news stories in its 13 month archive. The stories come from thousands of publishers in several regions including the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Poland.
- As we make our archives public and free we hope to see developers leveraging the stories to enhance existing solutions and build new cool applications, continues Ingelborn.
The open Yabot API is still in Beta and we appreciate developers feedback as we make the API ready for 1.0. Developers can now access the
"Yabot Development and Integration Wiki" at
http://tr.im/mp3h for documentation and examples.
Free Yabot account
Even if the API is open and free to use, developers will have further advantages using a Yabot account. It is free to sign up for a Yabot account at
http://d2.yabot.net (Beta site) and we currently offer all developers a
free upgrade to the first year of a Blue account (value €300). To get the free upgrade, first sign up for a free account, then email Yabot at my@yabot.net with the subject API and your email address. We will then get you a complimentary Yabot account at the Blue level.
